About RO-BTNG
Bringing LIFE through
Love Inspiration Faith and Equipping
Fifty years of repressive communist rule ended in Romania in 1989, but the
standard of living continues to be one of the lowest in Europe. Our ministry
is based in the Almaj Valley in southwestern Romania. In this agricultural
area the local economy is stagnant, the human spirit remains oppressed and
the future is bleak. Without our help the next generation has less hope than
the last.
Romania-Building the Next Generation exists to bring Life through Love,
Inspiration, Faith, and Equipping.
Our goal is to train the youth in the Christian faith, encouraging them
to become responsible citizens and leaders in their communities and
churches. We are committed to providing summer camps where, through a blend
of teaching, sharing and fun activities, a life in Christ is shown to be
real and relevant.
We have purchased a 100 year old home in Bozovici to serve as our
outreach headquarters. It has been remodeled, adding water and heat. We have
also added 4 dormitory rooms that house our American short term teams, as
well as a summer kitchen, 2 bathrooms and several storage areas. We can now
accommodate up to 30 people.
We offer humanitarian aid to Casa Dorca Orphanage by filling practical
needs through donated items such as clothes, school supplies, medicines,
sports and educational equipment and bedding. We have also provided
specialized personal counseling and discipleship to the orphans. An
additional helping hand is given to the needy in the community through
donations of medical supplies to doctors and the local hospital and
vegetable seeds and dairy cows to poor families.
The Board of Directors and workers of Romania-Building the Next
Generation are men and women from a variety of Bible-believing churches who
donate their time, talents and financial assistance to see the goal of
bringing LIFE to the next generation in Romania become a reality..
